Newsboys headline Target Center
by Bryan Malley

MINNEAPOLIS —KTIS FM is welcoming the newsboys, Kutless and Stellar Kart to the U.S. Bank Theater at the Target Center on March 18 at 6 p.m.

The “Go Tour” is the newsboys first full-production national tour since 2003.

With five gold albums, sales exceeding 6 million units, more than 20 No. 1 radio hits, and a mantle of Dove Awards, the newsboys have achieved phenomenal success in two decades together.

The band’s current radio single, “Wherever We Go,” holds the No. 4 position on Radio & Records Christian Hit Radio chart.

“Newsboys have always been known for their live performances,” said Wes Campbell, the group’s manager. “From landing on stage in space ships to light shows encased in massive, 50-foot microphones, dueling drum solos on spinning drum risers that go upside down to giant inflatable 3,500-seat airdomes, newsboys tours have always been ‘can’t-miss events.’”

Kutless, an emerging Christian act from Portland, Ore., has played before nearly two million fans in the past four years. Eight radio hits have also come from three CDs; “Kutless,” “Sea of Faces” and “Strong Tower.”

The band has performed as featured artists at Billy Graham Crusades, Harvest Crusades, Luis Palau Festivals and many other festivals and events.

World Records punk pop rock band Stellar Kart launched onto the music scene with their 2005 release, “All Gas. No Brake.” The national debut landed Stellar Kart a Gospel Music Award nomination for Best New Artist.

Stellar Kart also debuted at No. 1 on SoundScan’s Christian retail chart with the sophomore release, “We Can’t Stand Sitting Down.”
